Green Building / LEED Construction
Klewin Construction is committed to Green Building initiatives and has extensive experience in LEED construction. All of Klewin’s staff is LEED trained and all Klewin project managers are LEED certified Accredited Professionals. Klewin has constructed numerous LEED projects throughout the State of Florida including the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, the first LEED Gold certified building for Florida Atlantic University. Other LEED projects Klewin has constructed or are in pre construction for include the IRSC STEM Building, the FAU Link Building, FIU International Hurricane Research Center, and the Council on Aging of Martin County.
At Klewin we recognize the importance of green sustainable construction. As green building requires the use of recycled materials, the re-use of existing sites and materials, the use of green materials, alternative energy sources, mechanisms for reducing waste and resource utilization, green building initiates not only provide occupants and the surrounding community a healthy environment, but also result in the energy efficiency, cost reductions, and extended building life cycles.
